SFL Tech Achieves ISO 9001:2015 Certification

A stronger standard behind the technology we deliver.

Technology clients place a considerable amount of trust in the teams working inside their operations.

When that work touches CargoWise, integrations, business-critical workflows, software or cloud environments, technical expertise alone is not enough. Clients also need confidence in the processes behind the delivery — how work is controlled, how quality is reviewed, how issues are addressed and whether the same standards can be maintained as projects become larger and more complex.

SFL Tech has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Quality Management System, following an independent assessment by Quality Research Organization (QRO).

The certification, awarded in December 2021, covered key areas of SFL Tech’s technology practice including CargoWise consultancy and enhancements, software development, mobile and web applications, supply chain IT solutions and cloud services.

For SFL Tech, this was an important step in building a more rigorous operating foundation around the expertise our clients already relied on.

Quality Should Not Depend on Who Is in the Room

A strong technology team can solve difficult problems.

A strong technology company has to be able to do it consistently.

That distinction becomes increasingly important when clients entrust a partner with systems that sit at the centre of forwarding, finance, customs, warehousing, integrations and customer operations.

ISO 9001 places discipline around how an organisation manages quality. It requires defined processes, clear responsibilities, documented controls, performance review, corrective action and continuous improvement.

In practical terms, that means creating a delivery environment where good outcomes are supported by an established system — not by individual effort alone.

For our clients, it strengthens the fundamentals behind every engagement: clearer processes, greater accountability, more consistent execution and a structured approach to identifying where performance can be improved.

Stronger Controls Behind Complex Technology Delivery

The complexity of logistics technology rarely sits within one system.

A change in CargoWise can affect a workflow. A workflow can affect an integration. An integration can affect the quality or timing of information moving into finance, operations or a customer's environment.

That makes disciplined delivery essential.

As SFL Tech expanded its work across implementation, integrations and custom technology, establishing formal quality standards helped create greater consistency across how projects were planned, executed, reviewed and improved.

It also reinforced an important principle within SFL Tech: solving the immediate issue is not always enough.

When something goes wrong, the stronger response is to understand why it happened, correct the underlying cause and use that learning to strengthen the process going forward.

That is how quality becomes repeatable.

Building Trust Beyond Technical Expertise

SFL Tech's growth has always depended on specialist knowledge of logistics and technology.

ISO 9001 added another layer to that proposition: independently assessed quality management behind the expertise.

For clients, the value is knowing that the partner working inside an important technology environment has made a formal commitment to the way its own business operates — to stronger controls, consistent delivery, measurable performance and continuous improvement.

As our client environments become more connected and the technology supporting them becomes more critical, that operating discipline becomes increasingly important.

Because the more responsibility a technology partner is trusted with, the stronger the standards behind its delivery need to be.
