Naz Nazeer Joins SFL Tech as Associate Partner, Head of Global Network and Asia Pacific

Asia Pacific is a mosaic of trade corridors, regulatory frameworks, business cultures, operating models, and decision-making styles that shift, sometimes dramatically, from one border to the next. For logistics businesses scaling across it, the complexity is layered in ways other regions rarely replicate — and the technology decisions that support that growth need to be guided by someone who understands not just the platform, but the markets, the cultures, and the people inside them.

Naz Nazeer joins SFL Tech as Associate Partner, Head of Global Network and Asia Pacific.

Naz brings something to SFL's leadership team that is both distinctive and deliberate: a career built at the intersection of psychology, sales, communication, and cross-cultural business development — shaped from years of living and building inside the region.

Built Across Cultures, Not From a Distance

Naz studied psychology at the University of Nottingham and management at the University of Bristol — a foundation that established something fundamental about how he operates: a deep interest in how people think, how they make decisions, and how trust is formed across the boundaries that separate cultures, organisations, and ways of working.

His career moved through sales leadership, public relations, employee training, and communication development. Each role sharpened a different dimension of the same core ability: understanding what people need, how they respond to change, and how to bridge the distance between where an organisation is and where it is trying to go.

But what makes Naz's background distinctive is where he chose to apply it. Naz moved into Asia Pacific and built his career from inside the region. He founded and led a communication academy in Tokyo, working with professionals at every level to bridge the gap between capability and confidence in cross-cultural business environments. That is work that demands far more than market familiarity. It requires the ability to operate inside a culture to understand its rhythms, its unspoken expectations, the subtleties of how relationships form and how credibility is earned. Not through a secondment or a project, but through the sustained daily work of building something within a market that does not give its trust quickly.

Years of that work have given Naz something rare: an intuitive understanding of how change actually lands inside organisations across this region. Not the system configuration. The human reality underneath it. How leaders in different markets evaluate risk. Where resistance builds quietly and why. What it takes to position transformation so that it earns genuine adoption across teams and countries that each carry their own hierarchy, their own operating logic, and their own relationship with technology.

He combines this with a commercial instinct shaped by years in sales and business development — the discipline of listening before advising, understanding what a client is genuinely trying to solve, and ensuring that the response reflects their reality rather than a framework designed for a different market.

He practises Taekwondo. He reads voraciously on communication, psychology, and strategy. He runs. He is someone whose curiosity about how people work — across teams, across cultures, across borders — is not a professional skill he applies selectively. It is how he sees the world.

What This Means for Our Clients

Many of SFL Tech's Asia Pacific clients have grown significantly in recent years. New markets. New trade lanes. Multi-country operations scaled and consolidated. CargoWise environments pushed to support complexity and ambition that would have seemed unlikely just a few years ago. That growth was built on trust — and as the stakes grow, so does the expectation of who we place in front of you.

With Naz, our clients across Asia Pacific gain:

  • A senior leader who understands the region from the inside. Someone who has built businesses across Asia Pacific, who reads cultural and commercial dynamics instinctively, and who knows that transformation here must be led in a way that reflects how business is actually conducted here.
  • The human side of transformation given real weight. Naz's background in psychology, training, and communication means he approaches technology adoption as a people challenge first. How teams are prepared. How change is communicated across cultures. How confidence is built in markets where trust and technology are more intertwined than any rollout plan can capture.
  • Global standardisation balanced with regional intelligence. Every logistics business scaling across Asia Pacific faces the tension between consistency and local reality. Naz brings the fluency to help clients navigate that tension with clarity rather than compromise.
  • Stronger connections across SFL's global network. As Head of Global Network, Naz ensures that expertise and capability flow across SFL's regions — connecting clients to the full depth of what we deliver, wherever it sits.
  • A relationship grounded in listening. Naz's instinct is to understand where your business is before engaging with where it should go. That discipline — built through years of cross-cultural work where assumptions fail and patience succeeds — defines every conversation he leads.

Our Commitment to This Region

Asia Pacific has given SFL Tech some of its most meaningful client relationships. Organisations that have trusted us through their growth, their complexity, and their most consequential platform decisions.

Naz's appointment is how we honour that trust. A senior leader with deep regional fluency and genuine cross-cultural expertise, placed at the heart of our Asia Pacific operations and global network, because the clients who have grown with us deserve leadership that understands their world as well as their platform.

We are proud of what we have built here. We are investing in making it stronger. And we are doing it alongside you.

Welcome to the team, Naz.
